The 5th Annual Malibu Wine Classic takes place at the Malibu Civic Center on Saturday April 5 from 12PM-5PM. Expect more than 60 participating wineries, all from either the Central Coast or Southern California—Epiphany, Laetitia and Villa Creek are among our favorites. Nibbles by 20 LA restaurants, ranging from casual spots like Malibu Toffee to award-winners like All’ Angelo. Tickets are $79 per person, and a portion of proceeds benefit Childhelp.
Down in the South Bay, Shade Hotel is hosting the 5th Annual Ultimate Wine Event on April 20, 2008. An all-star participant list includes Stag’s Leap, Opus One, Grgich Hills and Rombauer. A must-hit for budding collectors, since most of the winery owners or chief winemakers will be in attendance.

Down in Newport Beach, the 35th Annual Newport Boat Show will bring more than 300 big boats to Lido Marina Village April 9-13th. No size restrictions for the boats showing in this prestigious in-water show. In addition to the vessels themselves, exhibitors will showcase a gamut of luxury services and products. Admission: $12 adults, free for children 12 and under.

The Los Angeles Antiques Show 2008 welcomes 60 renowned antique and fine art dealers to Barker Hanger from April 24-28th, for one of the most prestigious antique shows in the country. Exhibitors represent some of the finest collections in the United States and Europe, and the crème of design professionals, private collectors and luminaries will be in attendance. The 11th Annual Art & Design Walk takes place from 4-8PM on May 30th, on West Hollywood’s Avenues of Art & Design (Robertson, Melrose and Beverly).
